Touch Your Toes Tuesday

How flexible are you?

Have you ever stopped to think about that? To be honest, I don’t think most people do because it isn’t really something we have to be concerned about in today’s day and age. We live sedentary lives that don’t require much movement if we aren’t so inclined.

Can you touch your toes?

I remember in high-school, when we’d have to stretch for gym, that it seemed painful to attempt to touch my toes. Now, though, I can almost put my hands flat on the floor!

What happened?

Well, I’m not exactly sure. I think the biggest factor in my improved flexibility is from yoga. Yes, yoga. And if you read my last post I was talking about meditation.

I swear, my house doesn’t not smell like patchouli or frankincense.

Have you ever tried yoga? It’s almost as if it tricks your body into becoming more flexible. I started by checking it out on YouTube – for free! Yoga with Tim offers a 30-day challenge to get beginners started.

If you want to keep going after that, there’s tons of free content from him and plenty of other instructors online for free.

It’s believed that stretching actually makes you stronger and helps with your day-to-day exercises, too. If you’ve been following along with my past posts – or if you haven’t I encourage you to check them out, you’ll know that improving our quality of life is the main goal.

Getting limber might be your next step to greatness.
